SMT d.o.o., a part of the Pick & Place Group, develops and manufactures electronic devices with its expert and knowledgeable staff and new SMT technologies.   We employ over 40 specialists from various fields.

Today our main business activities are the development and manufacture of electronic devices and sub-assemblies.  Our services include the sourcing of electronic components, single and multi-layer PCB design, assembly of SMT and classic components, visual and functional testing of manufactured devices, mounting into device housing and packing for the end user.  With our many years of experience, tradition and know-how, we are capable of quickly adapting to the needs of our customers.

The history of our company begins in 1979.  At that time we were named Elektronika Portoroz and we completed a number of large and small projects using our own research and development to manufacture electronic devices.  Between 1980 and 1990 we gained valuable experience in R&D and manufacturing.  We had projects with the largest refineries in the former Yugoslavia, developed electronic devices for the security firm Varnost in Ljubljana and an innovative access system for the ski lift equipment at the Rogla Ski Area.
